ISCJ Expansion Project Email Campaign

Dear ISCJ family,

Assalamu Alaikum.  The Islamic Society of Central Jersey (ISCJ) would like to invite you to take part in the historic Expansion Project.

As you are probably aware and may have seen with your own eyes, the ISCJ is in the middle of a multi-million dollar expansion project. Over the past 30 years by the grace of Allah (SWT), the ISCJ has grown from its modest roots to a model community that is a destination for Muslims and non-Muslims alike.  This was accomplished with the help of you — our community.  In recent years, many families have moved to this community in part due to our excellent educational services – the full-time school Noor-Ul-Iman and our Weekend School, and the myriad of other services offered by ISCJ.

With the increase in our membership, the need for expansion is imperative.  The existing ISCJ facilities are not suited to handle the many-fold increase in membership and the temporary structures have long outlived their use. In other words, our existing facility cannot meet the needs of our expanding community.

The ISCJ expansion project seeks to achieve five main objectives:

• Expand the prayer facilities:  increase the mosque square footage from 13,000 sq. ft. to 23,800 sq. ft., and add 400 more parking spots.
• Create a centralized and modern school:  this building will educate over 1,100 Muslim students in a full-time and part-time format, as well as expand our adult education capabilities.
• Provide a burial preparation facility:  to service the immediate and surrounding communities (already completed and providing services).
• Build new office building: to generate income to support the expanded facility and to support professional offices
• Be a model community: to serve our Muslim community as well as the community at large.

As we embark on this ambitious project, we urge you to stand with the ISCJ in support. We need both your prayers and financial support.  Your donations will ensure that the Muslims continue to have a strong beacon of light in this community, and strengthen an institution that will promote a positive image of Islam, provide a solid educational foundation for the future leaders of Muslims in America, and help build bridges with non-Muslims.

We invite you to visit the ISCJ website today, http://www.iscj.org/donation.aspx, and request that you please make a one time generous donation.  In addition, we ask that you make a long term commitment to the project by pledging a recurring donation.  At this time, approximately 17% of our community has made a recurring pledge for continued support of the project.  Our goal is to raise that percentage to at least 50% by the end of this year.

You can start by visiting the ISCJ website and selecting the recurring payment option, or stop by the office and fill out a form.  No amount is too small but the suggested minimum is $25 per month.  All contributions are tax deductible.  If you would prefer to donate your time also, please contact us at volunteers@iscj.org.

Lastly, we ask for one last small humble favor: please forward this message to your friends and family; and then follow-up with them if possible to ensure they also have taken action for this most worthy cause.
