Most of the area schools are closed during the holiday season and parents also take time off during this time to spend quality time with their family. We saw surge of worshippers during the last two friday of 2010. By the grace of Allah(s), people who came opened their wallet and supported the expansion projects by donating $17,000. We collected $6,000 on 24th December and $11,000 on 31st December.

The Juma campaign received a pledge from Brother Arshad and Sister Zareen Mumtaz for $100,000. The amount will be donated over five years towards the ISCJ expansion project.

ISCJ Expansion Funding Committee has launched a campaign to provide regular updates on the progress of the expansion project at Juma’ prayer, Saturday Maghrib and Sunday Dhur prayer. The Saturday Maghrib and Sunday Dhur prayer communication updates will cover the weekend school parents. EFG has published a schedule with members name and have provided a script to ensure that a consistent message is being given to the community members and the community be reminded that their support is needed to make this project successful.

My name is < NAME> and I am part of the ISCJ Expansion Funding Group. May I request you to kindly give me few minutes of your precious time today. Few minutes, that’s all I ask of you so PLEASE listen.
Expansion Funding Group, commonly known as EFG, comprises of more than 20 people, just like you, who have come together with a common objective, that is…to raise the money towards the completion of the project.
And we all know that IT IS a huge challenge and that it cannot be an event but a JOURNEY that will take, we hope at least 5 years to realize.
EFG is working on several fund raising campaigns focusing two major categories of donors.
Reason for my coming in front you today is the second category…ONE; how do we find the Friends of ISCJ in NJ, the USA, and around the world and TWO when we find them what do we ask them to do?
ONE – So, who are the Friends of ISCJ??? PAUSE and look at a few people in the eyes.
These are your relatives and friends, primarily in the US and also abroad. My request to you is to reach out to them, introduce them to your community’s expansion plan and its eventual impact and contribution to the vision of Islam in the US.
TWO – If each one of the 1000 people who associate themselves with ISCJ, can help find another 5 Friends of ISCJ, and ask them to make a minimum of $25 monthly pledge for the next 5 years….we can achieve our target!
Why at least $25/month, you may ask? EFG’s target is to get 4000 pledges of $25/month to help raise the $30MM.
25 x 5 = 125 x 4000 = $500,000/month
500,000 x 12 = $6MM/year x 5 = $30MM
The math is SIMPLE! $25 is SIMPLE! Getting to 4,000 pledges is not so simple. It is a challenge that we cannot overcome without YOUR help.
Please pick up pledge forms from the office, start with yourself, if you have already done your part, please call your relatives and friends and help us achieve our target of 4,000 pledges a month!!!
We know all the success is by the grace of Allah through people, and we cannot do that without your help.
Please help your religion to realize the vision.
