2nd Monthly Lunch Event Raises $31,250 For Expansion Project

March 16, 2010

Assalam-u-Alaikum,

Alhamdolillah – we had our 2nd Major Donor Lunch event today. Despite a very low turnout due to the weather, we were able to raise $31,250. In addition, we expect more funds to be generated from this event from individuals who had taken the pledge forms or were not able to attend.

Br. Zahid and rest of the team had been working very hard for the last few weeks and had identified and contacted more than 65 individuals. InshaAllah we will continue to follow-up with these individuals and invite them to our upcoming events.

I would like take this opportunity to thank all the team members of the campaign – Br. Zahid, Br. Masood, Br. Amir and Br. Parvez  for their dedication, hard work and persistent effort for this campaign.

Special thanks to Br. Zahid for hosting the event and inviting/following up with all the potential donors.  We again got some really good feedback and valuable ideas that we will discuss in our next meeting InshaAllah.

Our next Major Donor event is scheduled for Sunday April 11th InshaAllah.

May Allah accept and reward all our efforts.

JAK,
Babar

EFG campaign raises $200,000 over next five years

February 28, 2010

Br. Fahumy, Br. Masood and I met with a major donor in Pennsylvania today. He had already indicated to Br. Fahumy that he is willing to pledge $1000/month for his life. After our presentation, he signed the pledge form and also committed to sponsor a classroom for $135,000. This totals to about $200,000 in next 5 years.

InshaAllah, there is a very good chance that he will sponsor at-least one more classroom as the construction progresses.

JAK Br. Fahumy for identifying this major donor, following-up and scheduling the meeting.

Our next major donor event is scheduled on March 14th at Passage to India restaurant in Lawrenceville. Br. Zahid is hosting that event – if you know of any major donors that we should invite, please send their information to Zahid and myself.

May Allah accept and reward all our efforts.
